Brainfeed Magazine has selected our School for the Brainfeed School Excellence Awards 2021-2022 as one of the Top 500 Schools of India!

For this prestigious award, the Jury of Brainfeed School Excellence Awards 2021-2022 received our nomination along with the filled questionnaire sharing about the best education practices followed in our school and accomplishments till date. The nomination form was scrutinized by all the jury members and they unanimously selected our school under the prescribed criteria for transforming education and young minds through a noteworthy spectrum of initiatives and efforts.

01.12.2018, Awards day function was conducted at KGISL College Saravanampatti, organized by Association of Matriculation Schools. The Principal’s and the Teachers who produced centum results in subjects in X, XI, XII Board Exams were honoured. Three teachers Mrs.P.Chitra, Mrs.R.Kavitha and Mrs. R. Geetha attended the function.
On 01.09.2018, “Awards Day” was organized by the Academic Council of Matriculation schools for Centum in subjects. The function was organized in Alvernia Matric.Hr.Sec.School. Our teachers from Chandra participated in the program and received the certificates.
22.08.2018 to 31.08.2018, Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was organized for NCC Students at NGM College pollachi. Chandra’s NCC along with 2 TN AIR Sqn NCC, Ms.A.Hadeerbee attended the camp. Four Students from Chandra received the Overall Championship for discipline.
12.10.2017, Kumaraguru college of Technology organized a program“Warfare 2017”. Twenty five cadets from NCC of Chandra Participated. The Events were Drill, Tug of War, Drawing and Oratorical. Our students won II place in drill and II place in Tug of War.
12.07.2017, Table Tennis, Ball Badminton for Zonal level was conducted at N.G.P College. Under 19, Eight students participated. They were Zonal level Runner.
14.07.2017, Zonal level chess tournament was conducted in Geethanjali Matric. Hr.Sec.School. Under 14 Boys, Shyam of Grade VII B was the winner.
Under 17, Boys Deepak kumar. R of Grade X and Jefrey. J of Grade X were the winners.
Among 600 schools and colleges Chandra Matric.Hr.Sec.School was awarded as One of the best schools in “Conserving and Preserving Nature” (ECO Award) by the Nature Conservation Society on 28.02.2017.
Our Head Girl S.Niloufer Thouraya – XII B was awarded as “Best ECO Student” by Nature Conservation Society.
On 10.09.2016, Association of Matriculation school (AMS) organised Awards day function for 10^th and 12^th teachers at Annapoorna Hall. Six teachers from Chandra attended the function. For centum result and centum in subjects the Principal and teachers received Awards.
02.09.2016 to 04.09.2016, The Coimbatore South District Kho-Kho Association along with Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology orgranised a District Level Kho-Kho Tournament at Thiyagi N.G.R Hr. Sec. School for under category 12 boys and girls. Our Chandra Girls Team secured District Third position. They were given certificate of merit.
On 04.09.2016, Liscician Chess Academy organised a chess tournament at Lisieux CMI public school. Shyam G.K of Grade VI B Participated under Category 12 and he won 12^th place in the chess tournament.
Nagini Vidhyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School organized District Level Kho-Kho match for under 14 Boys. Twelve students from Chandra Matric participated and won District 3rd Place.

On 12.7.2014 & 13.7.2014 “Lead India – 2020” Science Exhibition and seminar was conducted at Sri Avinashilingam Hr.Sec.School. Two students presented their exhibits. Among 120 exhibits our exhibit was selected for the finals. It was appreciated and the students received appreciation certificates from our late former President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.
